Just shy of 30 years ago, Frank McDonnell, with a degree from the Gemological Institute of America and a passion for jewelry design, opened a small jewelry store in a quaint valley in northern Connecticut. His specialty...the design of unique pieces in gold, platinum, cultured pearls and diamonds. After 10 years, the jewelry store was transformed into a private office suite to cater to clients in a more intimate one-on-one setting. Customer service was the hallmark of his business, as house-calls quickly became the normal way of meeting clients. Whether in the privacy of their homes or in Frank's office, customers were introduced to jewelry designs based on their specifications. Diamonds and all varieties of cultured pearls were often the design element of choice. In 2000, Frank's son Tim and daughter-in-law, Laura, took over daily operations of the family business. Although still specializing in fine jewelry, they began moving in a different direction by offering clients a line of fashionable jewelry created from Sterling Silver and Gold. Just as the company had done with fine jewelry over the previous 13 years, they focused on taking the collection into the homes of their clients. Customers enthusiastically embraced the new line and the company was flooded with requests to display the collection in homes across the Northeast. Client meetings were transformed into social events or "Jewelry Parties". The next five years brought tremendous and exciting change to the company; 100's of new pieces fashioned from Sterling Silver, Gold, Steel, Colorful Resins, and Fresh Water Pearls were introduced; an enhanced Hostess Benefits Plan was created to reward hostesses with LOTS of FREE jewelry for opening their homes to the collection; and finally, a new corporation called M Studio was formed in 2005. M Studio is your company and was created for one purpose: to provide a fantastic business opportunity for all people to sell a product line that they believe in and are proud to show. After 30 successful years of enjoying our American dream, the mission of M Studio is to assist and empower our independent representatives to become the leading and trusted source of high quality and fashionable jewelry.
